Trip Overview

Arusha National Park is amongst the National parks found in the northern Tanzania safari circuit, this park is named after the city which the park is located to, located 25 km from Arusha town and 35 km from Kilimanjaro international airport.

Arusha National Park is ideal for both game viewing activities as well as walking safari as this park is close to Meru Mountain which is part of the park that covers 137 square kms in total. There are so many animal species that can be found in this park, However the most common are zebra, giraffe, velvet monkeys, buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, warthog, baboons, Red Forest Duikers, the fascinating Abyssinian black and white Colobus monkeys and sometimes the leopard. More than 400 bird species have been verified in the park including Flamingos and other Eurasian migrants, which can be seen between October and April.

Day 1: Arusha Park Day Trip

Today our safari guide will pick you around 8:00am after your breakfast at the hotel, it will take you like an hour to reach the park from Arusha or one hour and a half from Kilimanjaro airport. On arrival your guide will check in your permits at the gate for 10 minutes while you will be using toilets, after that you will enter the park and start game drive, there are lot to see today but mostly White Colobus Monkey which are the jewelry of this park, nevertheless if you love walking safari then this is your ideal place for walking safaris and you will be escorted by an armed ranger when you will be mixing yourself with nature and blend into its wilderness, later you will get your lunch at the picnic areas before resuming to more game drive activities and in the afternoon drive back to Arusha or stay in the park for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
