Best time to Visit Tanzania is during the dry season which falls in June month to October this is when Tanzania safari is at its Highest Holiday peak (High Season), this is the busiest time of a year for Tanzania safari so consider encountering a lot of Tourists during this time, so it’s advisable to book your Tanzania holiday as early as three months before to ensure your spot and a good holiday plan i.e. Getting a nice safari car, Best hotels etc. as if you will not book early the chances of a smooth holiday will be slimmer, However during this period of time you will be able to witness the Great Mara River Migration where wildebeest and other grazing mammals migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya.

November to March this is second best time to visit Tanzania also known as Calving Season, during this time the hottest game drive area are Southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Ndutu region Area where wildebeest will be giving birth and this area always have a lot of actions as many predators will be lurking around for easy meals from newly born wildebeest calves.

April to May this is known as Low season in Tanzanian safari, so less Tourists and safari prices are much lower compared to other seasons;however is the last best time for Tanzania safari so more game drive actions and very private time for Tanzania safari.

Best Time for Kilimanjaro Climb

The driest time is always the best time to climb Kilimanjaro Mountain this falls between December to March and June to October Months, however this is the busiest time and consider encountering a lot of Tourists during the climb.

January to March

Perfectly balanced weather during these months i.e. the weather is neither wet nor cold and no rains although the big rain season might start from mid-March.

December to January

The busiest season especially Christmas and New Year eve so a lot of Tourists climbing Kilimanjaro, the weather is good although there might be some little rains and clouds on some days along before summiting.

November

Small rain season so not best time to climb Kilimanjaro; however the scenery is very beautiful when the mist covers the whole mountain so very tricky to climb Kilimanjaro during this time.

October

Wet season and the weather is cool and occasionally little rains although the weather is very unpredictable and you may encounter small rains during the climb, however during this period of time the number of visitors drops and the mountain is less crowded.

August to September

High season period the weather is dry and warmer and brighter and sunny, so this means a lot of Tourists climbing Kilimanjaro and summit rates are higher as safety increase with numbers.

June and July

Less rain during this period of time and the weather is dry and sunny but the nights are cold, it’s an excellent time for the climbing adventure although the number of climbers will be increasing as the month’s progress ahead.

April and May

The rainy season in Tanzania and the coldest period of time so less climbers during this heavy rain season but it sill adventurous if you want to experience the climb while it’s raining as you will be provided with all the necessary gears to help you with rain.

Best Time to Visit Zanzibar

Zanzibar’s (the Unguja), special white beaches bathed in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean are what visions of paradise are made of. Here one is provided with the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. The warm clear waters trim with coral reefs provide some excellent sites for snorkeling, scuba diving and other water sports. There are more than 25 best beaches in Zanzibar many of these are remote and unspoilt but easily accessed. At the northern tip of the island is Nungwi, which is worth the hour or so it takes to get you there. Here you can swim at low tide without having to wade out a mile into the sea (rare in Zanzibar).

On the west coast of Zanzibar, is Mangapwani, and to the east are the beaches of Matemwe, PwaniMchangani, Kiwengwa, Uroa, Bwejuu and Jambiani.Zanzibar is also an ideal base from which to traverse the many small offshore islands, perfect for day-trips. Prison Island is the most attractive with tourists because it is only a short trip from Stone Town. Other islets near to Stone Town are Chapwani, Chumbe and Bawe.

Best time to visit Zanzibar the weather is hot and the sun is brighter although there will be a lot of tourist during this time and the prices will be a little bit higher but the best time for beach activities including diving, snorkeling etc.

March to May

Start of Long rain season, this is not the best time to visit Zanzibar as it’s so wet and much of beach activities are limited

June to October

The months from June to October are the best times to go to Zanzibar. These weather conditions are perfect for long days, relaxing in the sun as heavy rains are long gone and exploring the wonderful sights of the Spice Island, Beach activities, stone town tour, water sport activities and for honeymooners this is a magic moment not to miss out.
