Manyara National Park is also one of the iconic parks in the North region of Tanzania, located between arusha and Manyara regions at the coordinates 3.4459° S, 35.8093° E this park covers the area of about 325 km2 and is situated between Manyara lake and the great rift valley, from Arusha to reach the park you will drive on a paved road for about three (3) hours until you reach this iconic soda(alkaline) lake.
Lake Manyara National Park has a spectacular setting of dense woodlands, steep mountainsides and mostly its alkaline lake which is a breeding habitat for flamingos, its estimated 1.9 flamingos leverage the shallow alkaline lake for feeding on algae,, apart from this wilderness experience the park is famous for its unusual tree climbing Lions, large herds of elephants and if you are a bird enthusiast lake Manyara is one of the best parks in Africa for bird watchers and has world-renowned among ornithologist for its bird concentration.
