In the Northern part of Tanzania at the coordinates 3.1618° S, 35.5877° E lies the largest almost second to none but still intact the volcanic caldera famously known as The Ngorongoro crater, this place homes high density of big games in the region and all over Africa, here you can encounter some of the rarest animals including the endangered black rhinoceros and the rest of the big five.
In this region of savanna woodlands, highland plains and forests life co-existing between wildlife and semi nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing livestock keeping. Also, evidence shows sequence of remains of human evolution date back to 80 million years ago evidence can be found in 14km long deep ravine called olduvai gorge, also in the Northern plains of Ndutu annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles etc. can be seen from November to march.
