Saadani National Park
Saadani National Park is the only park in Tanzania that connects safari and Coastal beach at 1100 km squares comparatively to other parks this is the smallest park, but what this park lacks in size has made up to more activities that this park has to offer.
Saadani is where the beach meets the bush. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast for an Indian Ocean beachfront, it as well possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania’s tropical coastline and islands very popular with European sun-worshipers. Yet it is also the one place where those idle hours of sunbathing might be interrupted by an elephant strolling past, or a lion coming to drink at the nearby waterhole!
How to get to Saadani
Saadani National Park can be reached by both flight and by driving, From Dar es salaam and Zanzibar there are scheduled chartered flights that can take up to 30 minutes to reach the park, also by driving On a Dar es salaam, Arusha Highway 160km(100miles) you will be able to reach this park plus 60km(36miles) of dirt road.
Best time to visit Saadani
The best time to visit Saadani National Park is around June to October when it’s the dry season, during this time you will be able to track down a lot of animals that gathers to drink water in the last remaining water holes also during green season months of January and February when it’s a calving season a lot of predators will be stalking the young calves and prey on them.

Saadani National Park is home to large herds of Elephants and Buffalo also Giraffe, Zebras, Waterbuck and as well as smaller antelope such as red duike and bush buck also Hippos and Crocks found on the picnic site on the banks of Wami river.
