Serengeti National Park is a Tanzanian safari park located in Mara and Simiyu Regions at the coordinates 2°20′S 34°34′E, it covers the area of 14,750 square kilometers, from Arusha to Serengeti first main entrance gate famously Naabi gate its 5 to 7 hours’ drive, the name Serengeti comes from Maasai name “siringet” meaning endless plains.
The Park is the centerpiece for Serengeti ecosystem, covered by grasslands, woodlands, and savannah, the park is bordered to the north by Masai mara in Kenya, to the south by Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the west by Ikorongo and Grumeti game reserve, and the East by Loliondo. Furthermore, the park is divided into three regions, Serengeti plains, Northern Serengeti, and Western corridor, visiting this park you will be able to see almost every animal including the “Big Five”.
