Western Safari Circuit is a less travelled safari circuit although its abundance of wildlife, there are two ways to get there I.e., one is by Air and second is by Driving
How To Get in Western Parks by Air!!
Due to its difficulty accessibility by road the Western circuit can be reached by charted flight twice a week from Arusha, a 4 hours flight from arusha will take you directly to the starting point of your game drive and walking safari in search of Gorilla in Mahale mountains, upon arrival our dubu adventure guide will meet you at the Airstrip and share a brief information about your program then proceed with the activities of the particular day.
How To Get in Western Parks by Driving a car!!
If you are a real adventure seeker then these four days road drive to the western circuit is for you although not recommended as the roads are rough and unforgiving but you will still there.
What to expect in southern safari circuit!!
Lake Tanganyika is the largest fresh water lake by volume in Africa, here you will enjoy canoeing, fishing and snorkeling, also scuba diving and beach relaxation.
Mahale National Park with no roads available for cars you will hike to track the chimpanzee routes which is the main activity in this park, however other activities available are, guided nature walks, kayaking, sport fishing, bird watching, and swimming.
Gombe National Park at Gombe National Park Jane Goodall spent 50 years studying the Kasakela chimps, discovering their social hierarchy and their intelligent use of tools, the main activity in this park is to track the chimpanzee and study their daily life activities although this park is very restricted for the protection of the chimpanzee, nevertheless you can also enjoy other activities like bird watching, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing etc.
Katavi National Park home of the largest Buffalos on the planet this park is found in two western regions I.e., Katavi and Rukwa regions, at 4470-kilometer squares this is the third largest park in Tanzania, this park was established in 1974.
This is a less explored park so you can expect to meet few cars during game drives but it’s a pure wilderness area with 4 of the big FIVE available in the park.
Animals found in Katavi are Giraffes, Cape buffalo, Elephants, Zebras and Wildebeests also Cheetahs, Lions, Wild dogs, and Leopards and in the river Katuma you will find Hippos and Crocodiles
